Orders that are placed before 8am ET will ship the same day. Any orders placed after 8am ET will ship the next business day. For example, if you order on Friday after 8am, your kit(s) will be shipped out on Monday morning. Shipments will arrive between 3-7 business days. We ship from Brampton so if you are ordering in the GTA, it is possible for your kit(s) to arriver sooner. No, since the test is meant to be self-administered, you are unable to provide proof of a negative test to border officials.  Please consult the travel policies of your destination country.  However, we do recommend that you bring rapid antigen tests with you while you travel for peace of mind. 

Public health clinics typically use a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test which is considered the "gold standard" for COVID-19 detection. PCR tests detect the presence of small amounts of genetic material that the virus has left behind, whereas antigen tests detect the presence of viral proteins. While both tests answer the same question, “do I have an active viral infection?”, PCR tests are time-consuming and need to be delivered by a medical professional. Antigen tests are considered the backbone of most national health plans for large scale, quick, and low-cost screening that can be done by anyone with some basic training.

To test for contagiousness, antigen tests detect the presence of the live virus. As the virus builds up in your system, the antigen tests can more easily detect its presence. Taken frequently, antigen tests can be used for screening to ensure you are not contagious.

This test is not suitable for individuals under the age of two, and sampling must not be conducted by an individual under the age of 15. Individuals age 15 or older are permitted to self-administer the test in jurisdictions where self-administration is permitted.

Yes, Omicron has significant immune erosion, which means that double-vaccinated individuals can get the Omicron variant and transmit the virus. Rapid antigen tests can give you peace of mind that you are not contagious.

Yes, The BTNX rapid test can detect the Omicron Variant. The BTNX rapid test targets the nucleocapsid proteins of SarsCoV2, so the mutations on the Omicron variant (which are in spike and RBD) shouldn’t impact test performance.

This test is intended for use as a screening test and is not to be considered a public health diagnostic test result.The test is best used for serial testing where individuals are tested twice, spread over the course of three days. The test is also best used within seven days of any onset of symptoms.

Positive: Two coloured bands appear on the membrane. One band appears in the control region (C) and another band appears in the test region (T).

Negative: Only one coloured band appears, in the control region (C). No apparent coloured band appears in the test region (T).

Invalid: Control band fails to appear. Results from any test which has not produced a control band at the specified read time must be discarded. Please review the procedure and repeat with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue using the kit immediately and contact your local distributor.

A negative antigen test result does not guarantee the absence of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. For instance, a negative could represent:

• You do not have a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
• You are currently infected but the test was done too early to detect the presence of the virus.
• The sample was not collected properly per the instructions and does not represent a valid result.
• You have an infection of a variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus which is not detectable by this screening test.
• This test is a false negative.

Because there are many reasons that you could get a negative antigen test, it is recommended that you conduct a second test within 3 days, but no sooner than 36 hours.

A positive antigen test result does not guarantee the presence of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. For instance, a positive could represent:

• You have a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
• The sample was not collected properly per the instructions and does not represent a valid result.
• It could also be a false positive.

Should you get a positive test result, you should seek a confirmatory test from a public health clinic within 24 hours.

If your test is invalid, there is a chance that the sample was not collected per the instructions included with the test. Should you get an invalid result, you will need to conduct a new test. Contact us if you require assistance.
